A wonderful example of a vintage Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson table / desk lamp. It has been beautifully carved with a really well executed signature mouse running up the base. It is a gorgeous dark oak colour, and being an earlier made piece, it has a slightly smaller base than the later examples. Please note that at the back of the base of the lamp there is a patch of oak that is lighter than the rest, this is natural, it isn't damage. It is just a reminder that oak is a natural material that has imperfections in its colour and grain, which adds character to a piece.
 
The lamp is in excellent condition with no damage. It has been polished, waxed, fully rewired, and has a new brass bulb holder, so it is in full working order and is looking at its best. A lovely Mouseman piece.
 
These vintage Mouseman lamps are becoming more sought after as the 1950s examples are now almost impossible to get hold of, and when they do come to the market, they command huge prices.
