A really good example of a Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson fruit bowl. It has been beautifully carved from a lovely piece of oak that has medullary rays running throughout the grain which really capture the light and look like ribbons of gold within the wood. The signature mouse has been well carved within the bowl and sits in the centre. It has nice patination, and the colour is absolutely wonderful. It is in excellent condition with no fruit acid staining, no chips, and no cracks. The diameter measures 30.5 cm. A great display piece.
