A wonderful, vintage Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson dark oak octagonal coffee table. Hand carved from English oak with a particularly good, plump signature mouse running up the base. 
 
The dark oak colour is gorgeous and is rarer to see as most of the Mouseman coffee tables that come to the market are later examples and are much lighter in colour. It has a single plank top which has been beautifully adzed. 
 
Regarding condition, a bit of wear can be seen on close inspection, all in line with age and use. The top of the table is free from stains, which is great to see. 
 
The height of the table measures 47.5 cm. The diameter of the octagonal table top is 50 cm. An ideal size that fits in anywhere. These smaller coffee tables also work great as lamp tables (especially if you have a Mouseman lamp) as the light reflects off the adzing, which looks fabulous.
 
A gorgeous Mouseman piece that display really well.
