A vintage Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson dark oak fruit bowl, carved from a lovely piece of oak which has a couple of natural knots in it which add a bit of character to the piece. One knot within the bowl has been filled with bee's wax, the other is on the adzed exterior of the bowl and has been left unfilled as there are no sharp points. A well carved chubby signature mouse sits in the centre of the well. 
 
The bowl is in very good condition with no fruit acid staining, no chips, and no cracks, just a bit of surface wear as seen in the pictures, all in line with decades of use. The diameter measures 30 cm, a bit smaller than the later examples. The signature mouse look is in perfect condition with no losses to the tail or chips to the ears.
