A really good example of a vintage Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson dark oak fruit bowl, carved from a lovely piece of oak with quite a stout signature mouse sitting in the centre of the well.
The bowl is in excellent condition with no damage. There is no fruit acid staining, no chips, and no cracks. It has wonderful patination and the colour is excellent. The signature mouse is in perfect condition with no losses to the tail or chips to the ears. A lovely piece.
The diameter measures 29.5cm, so it's slightly smaller than the later examples, which measure 30.5cm.
