A lovely, well carved pair of vintage Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson napkin rings. They have been beautifully made, and each has the iconic signature mouse to the top.  
 
They have been made as a pair; they are not just two random napkin rings matched up. The mice look almost like a mirror image of each other. And both are exactly the same colour, which is good to see, as quite a lot of Mouseman napkin rings that come to the market as 'pairs' are actually just two matched up napkin rings.
 
The colour is wonderful and the oak is gorgeous and feels very smooth, like silk, they are very tactile. The condition is very good with just ever so slight wear seen on very close inspection, all in line with around 50 years of age and use, although they look like they haven't really been used much and were likely just display pieces.
 
Each napkin ring measures 5 cm in height.
