An extremely rare 1930s Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson octagonal burr oak coffee table. It has a single plank top, which sits on a cruciform base. The top is carved from a wonderful piece of burr oak. The whole piece is absolutely stunning and is a gorgeous colour. The early signature mouse has been carved to the base.
 
Regarding condition, the burr oak top has been restored so is in excellent condition apart from one smoothed-out chip (please see picture), not really noticeable, but should be pointed out. There are also a few small chips to the feet and general wear consistent with almost 100 years of use. 
 
The top of the table measures 51.5 cm x 50.5 cm. Overall the table stands 49.5 cm high. A superb piece.
