A really lovely Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson large octagonal coffee table. All hand carved with a three-plank top, which is beautifully adzed. It is a wonderful warm honey colour, and the signature mouse has been really well carved running up the base. These octagonal coffee tables are much larger than the smaller octagonal Mouseman coffee tables and are rarer to the market.
The top of the table has a very impressive shape and is free from stains. The base is also in very good condition with some natural knots in the wood, adding a bit a character. On close inspection, slight surface wear can be seen, nothing significant, all in line with age and use. A great statement piece.
The diameter of the top measures 82cm. The full height of the table is 47.5cm.
