A Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson stool all hand carved with a beautifully adzed flat top which looks almost like honeycomb. It is a lovely warm honey colour too. The condition is excellent with no damage or staining. The top of the stool is in near perfect condition with some nice natural knots and medullary rays in the grain of the oak which add a bit of charm. To be picky, just ever so slight wear can be seen on very close inspection. The signature mouse has been carved running up the front, left leg.
The height of the stool is 38 cm. The top measures 40.5 cm x 27.7 cm.
Having a flat top, these stools make great side tables, or if you have a Mouseman lamp, they look fantastic displayed on one of these as the adzed top really reflects the light. A lovely Mouseman piece.
