A lovely example of a Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson oval shaped cheese board, all hand carved from oak with the signature mouse on the handle. It is a gorgeous dark oak colour with a well carved signature mouse. There are lots of small natural knots and irregularities in the grain pattern, some of which can be seen on the mouse and around where the mouse has been carved, which is very unusual to see and adds a bit of charm to the piece. The board has been beautifully adzed to the top surface. It is in excellent, unused condition with no damage.
