A great example of a vintage hand carved Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson letter rack. The signature mouse has been perfectly carved to the front edge on the left-hand side.
It is a lovely warm honey colour, and it is in very good condition with no damage, just a bit of surface wear, especially to the base where some scratches can be seen and a tiny nick, not seen when displayed and all commensurate with age and use.
The shaped ends have been carved from oak that has medullary rays running throughout that really catch the light and add a bit more charm to the piece.
The width of the letter rack is 33 cm. The depth is 13 cm. The height is 20.5 cm.
