A wonderful example of a Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson candlestick. The dark oak colour is absolutely gorgeous, and the stout signature mouse has been very well carved. At the top of the stem is a handmade wrought iron sconce and there is green baize to the base.
 
Regarding condition, there's a bit of old wax and slight wear to the sconce from use, other than that it is in excellent condition. The mouse is perfect with no chips to the ears or losses to the tail.
 
The height measures 29cm (including the sconce).
 
Quite a striking piece.
