A Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson fruit bowl - circa 1970. It has been well carved, expertly tooled, and adzed to both the interior and the exterior. It is a really lovely dark honey colour with a well executed plump signature mouse to the centre of the bowl. There are some dark spots to the interior of the bowl and some faint stains from fruit acid, quite common with these vintage bowls, other than that, it is in very good condition with just the usual signs of wear commensurate with age and use. The diameter measures 29 cm, so it's a bit smaller than the later bowls, which measure 30.5 cm.
