A sweet little Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson nut bowl with the signature mouse carved in the bowl. Circa 1960s / 1970s. These vintage nut bowls with the mouse in the bowl don't often come up for sale. They pre-date the Mouseman nut bowls where the mouse is carved onto the side of the bowl, which are much more common and frequently come to the market.
The condition is very good with no damage. The diameter measures just under 15 cm, about half the size of the Mouseman fruit bowls. It has been made from a beautiful piece of oak with medullary rays running throughout the grain, giving the piece more character and charm. It is very tactile, a lovely colour, and it displays well.
A wonderful Mouseman piece with a chubby little signature mouse in the centre of the bowl. Perfect for serving your nuts and nibbles over the festive season.
