A rare pair of Malcolm 'Foxman' Pipes candlesticks. Each candlestick has been beautifully hand carved and bears Pipes' signature fox head to the bases. The oak is a wonderful warm honey colour, and the fox heads have been perfectly carved. Never seen another pair come to the market, so possibly bespoke made.

Both candlesticks are in excellent condition with no damage and measure 20.5 cm high. They have green baize to the bases.

Malcolm Pipes was one of Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson's craftsmen. He specialised in making Grandfather clocks. He left Mouseman to set up his own workshop and adopted the fox as his signature.
