An early Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson double stool. Hand carved from oak. Rare to the market. On the old Mouseman price lists they are advertised as 'Long Fireside Stools'.  This one dates to the 1950s and is in very good condition with just a small mark to the top (see picture), otherwise just bit of wear commensurate with age. The signature mouse has been well carved and runs up one leg. It is a wonderful dark colour and it has been beautifully adzed to the top. The length is 82 cm, the width is 36 cm, and the height is 40 cm. A really lovely Mouseman piece that can also be used as a coffee table.
