An early Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson napkin ring. These little napkin rings rarely come to the market. They measure just 3.8 cm, so much smaller than the later napkin rings that increased in size as the decades went on, eventually measuring 5 cm. This example is in good condition with no chips or damage to the mouse. However, it does have 2 small splits, which can be seen in the pictures, they're not too noticeable, but should be pointed out. Other than that there are no issues. The signature mouse has been expertly carved with the thinner neck and higher back end, typical of the early mice. The dark colour is also really wonderful. If you want to own an early piece of Mouseman but your budget is limited, then a little napkin ring such as this is ideal.
