A rare, early Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson napkin ring. These little napkin rings are few and far between. They measure just 3.8 cm, so much smaller than the later napkin rings that got bigger and bigger as the decades went on, eventually measuring 5 cm. I've taken a picture of this early napkin ring with a much later example so the size can be compared, the vintage example is not included in the sale.
 
Regarding condition, it has a one small split (see pictures) with a dark line running over it. Other than that the condition is excellent. The mouse is particularly well carved with no damage, the colour is beautiful, and it has wonderful patina.
