A really rare pair of Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson dark oak wall lights - circa 1930. Each has carved mouse tails (normally only seen on early Mouseman pieces) and particularly well carved signature mice with the high back ends, thinner necks, and prominent ears, very typical of the 1930s. They are a wonderful dark colour with excellent patination, and in original condition, still with the old wiring. I would recommend having them PAT tested before use or having them rewired. They may also need new bulb holders once rewired unless using a 3 core wire (if that is possible).
 
The back plates measure approximately 26 cm x 9 cm. They are almost 100 years old but are in good condition with just wear commensurate with age and use. They are very rare to the market, possibly bespoke.
