A really rare pair of Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson dark oak wall lights - circa 1930s. Each has carved scrolls and particularly well carved signature mice with the high back ends, thinner necks, and prominent ears, very typical of the 1930s. They are a wonderful dark colour with excellent patination. They are in original condition, still with the old wiring. I'll leave it up to buyers to decide whether they would like to rewire them and replace the bulb holders, or whether they would prefer to leave them as they are and adapt them to use for burning candles. Either way, they would look amazing. The back plates measure approximately 26 cm x 9 cm. They are almost 100 years old but are in good condition with just wear commensurate with age and use. They are very rare to the market, possibly bespoke, as I've personally never seen another pair.
