Welcome to the Yorkshire Mouse online shop

A really lovely Don 'Foxman' Craven chair with a Yorkshire rose beautifully carved onto the back panel. The panel has been made from a gorgeous piece of honey coloured oak that has lots of golden medullary rays running throughout the grain that really capture the light. The seat of the chair has been upholstered with cream leather, which really compliments the light colour of the oak. The signature fox has been carved to one front leg with a bushy tail in a seated position.

The full height of the chair measures 106cm, the width is 44cm, and the depth is 47cm. The seat height is 47cm, which is great as it means the chair can be used as a desk chair, an occasional or bedroom chair, or as a dining chair. It could even just sit in a corner of a room or conservatory as a decorative piece.

The condition is very good with no damage. It dates to the 1960s / 1970s. A lovely Foxman piece.

There are other Foxman chairs in stock if buyers would like a pair. Please email info@yorkshiremouse.co.uk for more information.

Don Craven was one of Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson's craftsmen. He left Thompson's workshop in the early 1960s and set up Aldborough Woodcrafts with another ex Mouseman Craftsman, Bob Hunter. Bob later went on to establish Wren Cabinet Makers in Thirlby, first using the tortoise as his signature, but later changing it to the wren. He is now known as Wrenman.
