A wonderful Bob 'Wrenman' Hunter small burr oak stool with the low relief signature wren on the seat. The seat has been expertly carved from a gorgeous piece of burr oak, which is quite rare to see. It is a superb colour, and it has been beautifully tooled around the edge of the seat. 
 
The condition is excellent with no damage, just ever so slight wear seen on very close inspection. 
 
The seat measures 23 cm x 17 cm. The height is just 21 cm, so it really is a dinky little stool. Perfect for small children or for those of us who can't reach the higher kitchen shelves!
 
Bob 'Wrenman' Hunter was one of Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson's craftsmen. He left Mouseman and started his own workshop, adopting the little wren as his signature. His pieces are always exceptionally carved, so are very sought after by collectors.
