A wonderful pair of Bob 'Wrenman' Hunter wall lights. They have been beautifully carved and there is a signature wren perched on the top of each light. The wrens are in perfect condition, so often the little beaks and tails get damaged, but not on these wrens, both are excellent. The oak has been medium fumed and is a lovely dark gingerbread colour.
Each light has a brass bulb holder which take bayonet bulbs. They also have a brass ring that unscrews off so that a lamp shade can be fitted, the ring can be screwed back on to secure the shade. Candle clip lamp shades can also be easily attached to the lights if using bayonet candle bulbs.
Both lights are in full working order.

Bob Hunter was one of Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson's craftsmen. He set up his own workshop and initially adopted the tortoise as his signature but later changed it to the wren after seeing a pair of wrens building a nest in his workshop. His pieces are always very well carved, so are highly sought after.
