A Horace 'Knightman' Knight oak serving table. All beautifully hand carved and panelled to the sides and to the back. The signature knight head has also been carved to the front right-hand side.
It has two drawers, one intended for cutlery, the other for placemats etc. It also has a really useful bottom shelf. It can be used as a serving table or as a hall / side table. It is in very good condition with just surface wear - very light scratches, and a few small faint stains. To the bottom shelf there is a larger stain, other than that the table just has light wear commensurate with age and use. A very useful table, made in the manner of a Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson serving table, which retail at over 4,000 pounds.
It measures 107 cm wide, the depth is 46 cm, the height is 76 cm.
Horace Knight was trained by Sid Pollard, who was one of Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson's craftsmen.
