An exquisitely carved Bob 'Wrenman' Hunter serving board. It has been beautifully made with a really wonderful little signature wren carved on one side. It has been carved from a gorgeous piece of English oak with a lovely colour and grain pattern. The bottom of the board has been carved to make it easier to carry, which is lovely to see - so much attention to detail. The condition is excellent with no damage, knife marks, chips, stains etc. It measures 36 cm x 25 cm. It's a perfect piece for serving your after-dinner cheese or nibbles.

Bob 'Wrenman' Hunter was one of Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson's craftsmen. He set up his own workshop and adopted the little wren as his signature after watching a pair of wrens building a nest in the workshop. His pieces are always exceptionally well carved so are very highly sought after.
