An exquisitely carved Bob 'Wrenman' Hunter pen tray. It has been beautifully made with a really well executed signature wren perched on top. It is a wonderful colour and it has been tooled all over, even to the bottom, such good workmanship. 
The Wrenman pieces are always so well made, the attention to detail is second to none. The condition is excellent with no damage. It measures 23 cm in length. The width is 7.5 cm. The height is 5.5 cm. A superb Wrenman piece.
 
Bob 'Wrenman' Hunter was one of Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson's craftsmen. He set up his own workshop and adopted the little wren as his signature after watching a pair of wrens building a nest in the workshop. His pieces are always exceptionally well carved so are very highly sought after.
