Welcome to the Yorkshire Mouse online shop

A wonderful Colin 'Beaverman' Almack wall clock with a Yorkshire rose hand carved onto the clock face. The signature beaver is on the top edge of the clock. It has gold roman numerals and gold filigree style hands. So much work has gone into this piece, especially to the carving of the Yorkshire rose and the beaver. It has been beautifully made.

It is in very good condition with no damage. Just a bit of light wear seen on close inspection, mainly to the back where two small stains can be seen (which will likely polish out) and some faint scratches (which again may polish out), obviously not seen when displayed, and all in line with age and use. It is in full working order and keeps really good time.

The diameter measures 18.5 cm.

Colin 'Beaverman' Almack was one of Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson's craftsmen. He worked for Thompson during the 1940s and 1950s. He set up his own workshop in 1960 and adopted the beaver as his signature.
